Mountain Bikes

As previously mentioned, True Fabrication flat-out likes bicycles of all kinds. However, the truth is we’ve made more mountain bikes than any other flavor of frames. And just to drill down deeper, they have largely been 29ers! I wouldn’t quite call us zealots for the 29er movement but all three of us ride them and we believe strongly in the benefits of this platform. Our mountain bikes are a great blend of function, style and durability. We choose each tube based on the information gathered during our dialogue with you the customer. We use a custom combination of True Temper, Columbus and Dedaccai tubing that we call C⁴. We apply this C⁴ principle to all the frames we design, whether it’s a XC race steed, long distance endurance frame or a sleek and elegant single speed.

Having our roots in Texas, we tend to gravitate towards quick handling, shorter wheel based bikes with a little extra bottom bracket height. Quite a bit of our Central Texas riding is done on dirt-over-limestone single track with very steep power climbs and rock ledges. However, it’s worth mentioning that most of us ride our bikes to the trailheads, therefore we want a bike that is efficient and comfortable “en route” too.
